Voice Actor Takuma Terashima Writes The Lyrics

It has been announced that the lyrics for the school songs of two recently opened elementary schools in Hodatsushimizu Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, will be written by voice actor Takuma Terashima (Ittoki Otoya in Uta no Prince-sama, Amagase Touma in THE iDOLM@STER: SideM). He was raised there and became its tourist ambassador in 2019. He was born there in 1983.

Oshimizu Primary School and Shio Elementary School, two facilities that will replace the town’s five elementary schools, will open in 2025. The town’s Board of Education had initially planned to utilise the old school songs, but after receiving several requests from parents and teachers for new ones, they decided to consult someone with ties to the community.

Terashima quickly agreed to compose the lyrics after being requested to do so by the Town Board of Education. His musical pals will write the songs’ musical scores. After the announcement, he tweeted, “The elementary schools in Hodatsushimizu Town, where I was born and reared, will be merged, and as of today, I have been requested to compose the lyrics for the school songs of Shio Elementary School and Oshimizu Elementary School, which will be freshly established. I am honoured and humbled by this wonderful distinction. For the sake of the kids’ happy memories, I shall pour my heart and soul into creating the songs!”
