Under Ninja TV Anime Adaptation Teased with Motion Manga Promo

The Under Ninja TV anime, which adapts the manga by I Am a Hero creator Kengo Hanazawa and announced broadcast intentions for 2023 back in August, hasn’t been mentioned in a while. A new teaser video, which includes motion manga-style samples from the original material, confirms that is still the case.

More information, like the cast, crew, and broadcast date, won’t be available for a little while, but in the meanwhile, you can watch the brand-new teaser below.

Since July 2018, the series has been serialised in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine. The series is officially published in English by DENPA, which characterises it as follows:
A new organisation was created by Allied Command in Japan after World War II to assist in controlling terrorism and violence in the Pacific area. Ninja were employed by the agency, and their original responsibility was to deal with domestic issues. The programme eventually expanded to its present size, controlling 20,000 ninja in a variety of internal and foreign concerns. Kudo just so happens to be one of those ninja. The seventeen-year-old high school dropout is now ready to serve as Tokyo’s next line of defence against a possible influx of foreign assassins.
