Square Enix, Koei Tecmo Announce Dragon Quest Champions RPG for iOS, Android
Dragon Quest Champions, a new instalment in the Dragon Quest series, was unveiled on Wednesday by Square Enix and KOEI Tecmo. The RPG with melee combat will be available on iOS and Android devices. During a presentation live, Square Enix revealed gameplay (the real feed begins at roughly 30:40 below):


From February 6 to February 13, a closed beta test will be held. Up to January 29th, applications are accepted for the beta test.
There will be no in-app purchases required to play this game for free.
The narrative is based on the Heroic Martial Arts Competitions, which celebrate the heroic heritage of the ancestors. The tournament’s male or female protagonist, manager Elmia, the Healslime Homit, rival Zelam, and tournament announcer Dralin the Dracky are among the characters.
Up to 50 players may engage in real-time combat in the Tournament Mode. Additionally, there are tasks and a solo story mode.
The game is being produced by Takuma Shiraishi. Director in charge is Tomohiko Sh from KOEI Tecmo. .
On December 9, the Dragon Quest Treasures video game for the Nintendo Switch was released.
Erik and Mia from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age serve as the game’s main characters. The game concentrates on a treasure-hunting adventure from the brothers’ youth. Although “non-traditional,” the game is still an RPG, according to the game’s development team.
The Switch version of Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age was released in September 2019. In December 2020, the game was released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store. In July 2017, the original game for the PS4 and Nintendo 3DS was released in Japan.
