One Piece Theory: Bonney Will Keep Everyone on Egghead Island
One Piece’s Egghead Arc is becoming more challenging for an arc that few people anticipated. In addition to meeting Jewelry Bonney and Dr. Vegapunk, the Straw Hat Pirates now have to escort the former off the island before CP0 can murder him. The situation will only become worse when Admiral Kizaru arrives with a force of ships. Sail away as soon as possible would be the best course of action, but it may not be that easy.
With Vegapunk, Bonney still has some unfinished business. She has even threatened to murder him if he doesn’t repair her father, Bartholomew Kuma, and bring back his humanity. The doctor may not be allowed to leave the island unless he accepts her conditions. The Straw Hats could be driven into a conflict with CP0 and the coming Admiral if this takes place.
Will the Straw Hats Have to Stay on Egghead and Fight?
At least not immediately away, Bonney may not even want Vegapunk to leave the island. He should have the majority of the facilities and equipment necessary to repair Kuma at his primary base of operations. There is no assurance that he will get somewhere where he can carry out her wishes if the Straw Hats sail off with him.
Kuma is likely on route to Egghead even if Vegapunk was able to take his equipment with him. Although it hasn’t been proven, he was last spotted utilising his Paw-Paw abilities to transport himself to an unidentified location; many fans believe he was headed for the island of science. If so, Bonney will have all she needs at the ideal location.
Fans may anticipate something like to a reverse of the War of the Best at Marineford if any of this takes place. While Vegapunk works on curing Kuma, the Straw Hats must maintain a defensive line to keep him safe. The doctor may also require some time to address Kuma’s wounded physique. This will need the Straw Hats to battle CP0 spies such Lucci, Kaku, and Stussy as well as the Seraphim they just captured. When they are done, Admiral Kizaru will have encircled the island with his ships, making the situation much more dangerous. They would only consent to any of this if Bonney put their escort’s life at danger or they felt pity for her situation. They would have to remain on Egghead in any case due to the Supernova.
The Straw Hats would have a motive to get into a conflict they would have otherwise avoided if the plot takes this turn, if it occurs. This would undoubtedly complicate their escort job, but if they succeed, Bonney, Vegapunk, and Kuma should all become valuable friends. Not to mention the fame they’ll get if they defeat Kizaru. Everyone may be put in danger by Bonney’s aspirations, but the journey they are on is also exciting and, in some ways, vital. We’ll have to wait and see what her strategy was if Kuma wasn’t going to Egghead.
