Netflix Streams New Pokémon Ultimate Journeys Anime Episodes, Power Rangers 30th Anniversary Special
On Wednesday, Netflix announced that it will start streaming new episodes of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series, the 25th season of the Pokémon anime, on February 24. A trailer for the upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always 30th Anniversary Special, which will debut on April 19 and include a reunion of the show’s original cast and crew, has also started to stream on the company’s website.
New Sonic Prime episodes, a new 3D animated series from Wild Brain Studios based on the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series, were also announced on Netflix.
Two days after the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield video games were made available globally in November 2019, Pokémon Journeys: The Series made its Japanese television debut on TV Tokyo and its affiliates under the title Pocket Monster. Under that title, the series is still shown in Japan.
In the United States, Netflix released the first 12 episodes of Pokémon Journeys: The Series in June 2020, and fresh episodes were released on a quarterly basis after that. In May 2020, Teletoon, a Canadian television network, also debuted the anime.
Pokémon Journeys: The Series, the anime’s translated title, features 48 episodes. The 49th episode of Pocket Monster continues Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series and had its Japanese debut in December 2020. On October 21, Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series became available on Netflix.
The Pokémon Company announced in their English press release that the anime would debut in 2023 “and beyond” in reference to the new Pokémon animated series that will premiere in Japan in April 2023. The Japanese version of the series has two entirely new dual protagonists by the names of Liko and Roy. Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly from the video games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will all appear in the anime, as well as the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza in Shiny form.
The 43rd live-action Super Sentai series since 1975, Kishiry Sentai Rysoulger, debuted in March 2019. Knights and dinosaurs are the show’s themes. After Kyry Sentai Zyuranger (used by Saban to construct the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Bakury Sentai Abaranger, and Zyden Sentai Kyryger (released in 2013), this series is the fourth dinosaur series in the franchise.
