On December 27, Shueisha’s Cocohana magazine announced that Kozueko Morimoto’s Janomenome manga will take a break. When the manga will resume reading was not specified by the publication.
The publication also revealed that Morimoto’s Ashi-Girl manga would return with Ashi-Girl Season 2 “Edo Period,” a new season (temporary title). On February 28, the manga will make its debut in the magazine’s April edition.
In February 2022, Morimoto published the Janomenome comic in Cocohana. In October 2022, Shueisha released the first volume of the manga’s compilation book. The protagonist of the manga is Tko, a young woman with a unique eye who banishes ghosts by gazing at them. She falls in love after being requested to awaken Kiyora-sama, the leader of the shrine.
In November 2011, Morimoto introduced the Ashi-Girl manga in the first issue of Cocohana. In December 2021, the series came to an end. In September 2017, a live-action television series based on the manga premiered.
Gokusen and Kdai-ke no Hitobito, manga works by Morimoto, served as inspiration for live-action television programmes. A live-action television special, a live-action movie, and a 13-episode TV anime series were all given to Gokusen. Between 2004 and 2005, Media Blasters distributed the anime in North America.
