Japanese Radio Station J-WAVE Selects Ado’s “New Genesis” as No.1 Song of 2023
On January 2, Japanese FM radio station J-WAVE revealed the top 100 tracks on the yearly list for 2022. The chart was created in collaboration with Billboard Japan and used data from music streaming services, downloads, CD sales, video play counts, Twitter tweet counts, and other elements in addition to how many times the song has been played on all J-WAVE programmes.
The song “New Genesis,” the theme song for One Piece Film Red performed by Ado, received the highest total points out of the 1,292 songs included in the ranking and took first place. The first opening theme song for the SPY x FAMILY TV anime, “Mixed Nuts,” performed by Official HIGE DANdism, came in at number two.
