Crowdfunding for “Patlabor” 1/1 Scale AV-98 Ingram’s Restoration
The campaign’s original 3 million yen target has already been quadrupled. Crowdfunding for “Patlabor” 1/1 Scale AV-98 Ingram’s Restoration Project Reaches Its Goal in Just One Day.
The 1/1 scale replica of AV-98 Ingram was initially created for The Next Generation – Patlabor- live-action film series in 2014. And was displayed at different locations in Japan to promote it. This has been previously reported. The “deck-up” event has been postponed for almost three years owing to the COVID-19 epidemic, and Ingram and the trailer must now be repaired and inspected before they can resume operations.
A crowdfunding effort was intended to gather cash for their repair with the aim of a deck-up ceremony during the next Wonder Festival Winter 2023 in February 2023. The campaign began on December 26 and in only one day, it had completely surpassed its $ 22,435 (three million yen) original objective.
It has now raised 6,080,070 yen (about $45,468) from 153 backers as of this writing, or 202 percent of their original target. The campaign will run until February 6, 2023, and updates on its upkeep will be posted there and on the Mobile Police Patlabor franchise’s official Twitter account (@patlabor0810) each week.
