Comic Girls Manga Ends in Next Chapter

The Comic Girls four-panel manga by Kaori Hanzawa will finish on February 17 according to the March edition of Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Max magazine, which was published on Thursday.
The manga had its magazine debut in 2014 as a guest series, and later that year, regular serialisation of the series started. The ninth volume of the manga’s compilation book will be released by Houbunsha on March 27. The first volume was published in 2015. The manga was chosen as a preliminary nominee for the 2017 Manga Taisho awards.

The protagonist of the manga is Kaoruko Moeta, a 15-year-old high school student and Chaos’s pen name. Kaoruko’s editor suggests that she move into an all-female dormitory for manga authors after she placed last in a reader poll. Koyume Koizuka, the founder of shjo manga, Ruki Irokawa, and Tsubasa Katsuki, the creator of adolescent romance comics, are Kaoruko’s housemates. The girls encourage one another as they strive to improve as manga writers.

The television anime version of the manga debuted in April 2018. The anime was shown live on Crunchyroll as it was in Japan.

Additionally, Hanzawa’s linked Chaos-sensei no Atelier Tanb informative manga “Kirara manga no Tsukurikata” is sporadicy published in the Manga Time Kirara Max magazine. Hanzawa depicts the process of creating manga in the series by drawing on her experience writing Comic Girls for the magazine.

Hanzawa made his manga debut in 2000 with Ichigo Omelette. In 2010, she authored the Kiruminzuu manga that was adapted from the anime Anyamaru Tantei Kiruminz.
