Chainsaw Man Theory: Arai Is the Violence Fiend
This idea says that one member of Chainsaw Man’s Special Division 4 is still in the group despite the group suffering several losses in Season 1 of the anime.

One of the many intriguing members of Public Safety Special Division 4, Hirokazu Arai’s stint with Chainsaw Man was too brief. He initially made an appearance with Himeno and Hayakawa after being summoned to the scene to rescue Denji from the Leech Devil, along with his colleague Kobeni, who was dispatched to guard the attack’s survivors. Arai, however, stood out much more during the “Eternity Devil” arc when Kobeni and he lost their minds while the rest learned how to deal with the devil.
Arai’s cowardice was only momentary, as other hunters were soon the targets of the Gun Devil when they managed to escape the Eternity Devil. Despite being shot during this assault, Arai jumped in front of a bullet to protect Kobeni from suffering the same fate. This was the last time spectators saw Arai, yet according to one idea, the brave hunter is still alive today as a demon.
The Violence Fiend Is Strangely Close to Kobeni

It’s probable that after his death, Arai’s body was retrieved by Public Safety and transformed into a powerful fiend since fiends are demons that have taken over human bodies. Since several divisions suffered significant staffing losses as a result of the Gun Devil’s attack, this would help the department of public safety. Undoubtedly a decent defensive precaution, the Violence fiend is so powerful that he dons a mask to keep his strength in check. However, upon his appearance, many Chainsaw Man devotees saw how the demon quickly developed a relationship with Kobeni, Arai’s former lover.
When Hayakawa asks for help during the Bomb Devil’s onslaught, the two first encounter each other, and a relationship soon develops. Kobeni is often fed by Violence as she converses with her new lover about her youth in a manner similar to how she did with Arai. The Violence fiend even makes a point of emphasising that he has more of his human memories than most fiends do, which would account for how well the two got along. Violence may have rekindled Arai and Kobeni’s relationship by using Arai’s recollections of their past interactions.
The Violence Fiend Took Arai’s Place in Episode 11’s Ending

Although this notion has not been proven, the last scene of Chainsaw Man Episode 11 does provide some compelling proof. Samurai Sword and Akane Sawatari are among the friends of the Gun Devil that Public Safety starts to assault in retaliation. Here, the Shark Fiend Beam, Angel, and Violence make their debuts. All of the Public Safety Division 4 members’ memories are aired in a montage at the episode’s closing scene.
Members who are alive and deceased are shown, but Arai is never given a spotlight. Instead, amid glimpses of Kobeni and Himeno, the Violence Fiend is seen. MAPPA, the animation studio that created the Chainsaw Man adaption, is well known for employing anime openings and closings to hint at or obliquely suggest future narrative lines. As a result, it wouldn’t be out of character for the studio to infer Arai was transformed into the Violence Fiend using this ending.
Arai and the Violence Fiend Look Similar

And last, there is a strong likeness between Arai and the Violence demon. Both of them are young males with comparable heights and body types, as well as the identical facial features and distinctive black, pointed hair. Even though the fiend is lacking Arai’s distinctive scar on his cheek, fiends can swiftly mend themselves. Because of this, after combining with Pochita, Denji was able to grow an eye back along with many other male parts and organs.
A fiend should be able to repair a small scar if they are capable of growing new body parts. The scar is the sole difference between the two, other than Violence’s plainly more demonic aspect, and its absence can be accounted for. Without a doubt, Arai and the Violence demon have a similar appearance.
Although there is no evidence to support the Chainsaw Man idea, it is clear from the evidence that Arai was transformed into the Violence demon. Along with MAPPA’s subtle hints, their similarity in look and affinity with Kobeni all point to the validity of this idea. The fact that a demon stole Arai’s body allowed him to keep guarding Kobeni, which is the happy ending the devil hunter deserved.
