Call of the Night, Blue Orchestra, Medalist, Ui×Kon Manga Win 68th Shogakukan Manga Awards
The 68th Shogakukan Manga Awards’ judging panel revealed the winners for this year on Wednesday. A bronze statuette and a cash award of 1 million yen (about $9,000) will be given to each winning title.

Black Channel, a manga by Satoshi Kisaichi, was also a nominee in this category.




This category also had nominations for Uoto’s Chi: On the Movements of the Earth, Junichi Nojo and Kazutoshi Hand’s Shwa Tenn Monogatari, and Shz Oshimi’s Blood on the Tracks manga.
Since 1956, Shogakukan has been presenting this award (for works published in 1955). The winners from the previous year were Do not speak mystery, My Love Mix-Up, Nigatsu no Shsha: Zettai Gkaku no Kyshitsu, and Komi Can’t Communicate.
