Cai Chang Opens Break of Dawn Anime Film in Taiwan on February 24

The anime adaptation of Tetsuya Imai’s Break of Dawn (Bokura no Yoake) manga will premiere in Taiwan on February 24, according to Taiwanese distributor Cai Chang Asia’s announcement on Tuesday.
In October 2022, the movie had its Japanese debut.

The animation at Zero-G was directed by Tomoyuki Kurokawa (Psychic Detective Yakumo, Dragonar Academy). The screenplay was written by Dai Sato (Eureka Seven writing supervisor, 10 Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex episodes, three Cowboy Bebop episodes), while the original animation character designer and concept designer was pomodorosa (Listeners, Deca-Dence). The principal animation director and character designer for the animation was Takahiko Yoshida (Cells at Work!, Big Windup!) The soundtrack was created by Masaru Yokoyama (2019-2021 Fruits Basket, Your Lie in April, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans). The picture is being distributed by GAGA and Avex Pictures.
“Itsushika,” the movie’s theme song, was sung by Daichi Miura (Before You Know It).
In the near-future year of 2049, when mankind has known for a number of years that the Earth would face an inevitable collision with a large-scale comet, the original “juvenile science fiction” manga’s tale is set, The main character of the manga is a child named Yma who is preoccupied with robots, space, and the approaching collision. He has a run-in with an alien, who he later learns is related to the approaching comet.
The manga was first published in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine in January 2011 by Tetsuya Imai (Alice & Zouroku).
