Buddy Daddies TV Anime Enlists Toshiyuki Morikawa
Toshiyuki Morikawa, who played Ruthven in The Case Study of Vanitas, has just been cast as 32-year-old Kyutaro Kugi, a coffee shop master and fixer who arranges employment for Kazuki and others. Buddy Daddies is on a quest to catch our attention before the release of the original anime next month.

On January 6, the series premieres with the Christmas episode “PIECE OF CAKE,” which sets off all the action-comedy shenanigans with the encounter of criminal contractor Kazuki, assassin Rei, and the charming Miri.

Buddy Daddies, which has an original script by Vio Shimokura (Tokyo 24th Ward) and character designs by Katsumi Enami (Baccano! ), is directed by Yoshiyuki Asai (Charlotte) at studio P.A.WORKS and has a January 6 debut. The cast includes the following actors:
Toshiyuki Toyonaga’s voice actor for Kazuki Kurusu (Tanizaki in Bungo Stray Dogs)
Voice of Koki Uchiyama’s Rei Suwa (Takt in takt op.Destiny)
Hina Kino, who played As Ramus in “The Devil is a Part-Timer,” voices Miri Urasaka.
As was previously said, the plot centres on Kazuki Kurusu, a criminal contractor and coordinator who lives with his closest friend Rei Suwa, a trained contract killer who works as an assassin professionally. Rei is a quiet guy who likes to play video games in his spare time, whereas Kazuki is gregarious, enjoys gambling, and loves ladies. One day, Miri Unasaka, a four-year-old daughter, walks into a hotel shootout while seeking for her father, forcing the two friends to take care of Miri. Miri’s father is a mafia leader.
