The new trailer for Buddy Daddies shows the amount of mayhem one little girl can cause in two assassins’ lives.

On their YouTube account, Aniplex released a brand-new trailer for the next original animation. The first trailer presented the two new papas, Kazuki Kurusu and Rei Suwa, who find themselves unexpectedly overwhelmed by Miri, the four-year-old daughter of a crime lord. The entirety of the first video showed a frazzled Kazuki attempting to keep Miri out of trouble, and this new second teaser suggests that Kazuki may be struggling with Miri even more now. Viewers may hear a portion of Ayase’s “Shock,” the opening theme music. The closing theme song, “My Plan,” will be sung by DURDN.

The Trailer Showcases the Chaos of Parenthood

The teaser shows the raucous household of Kazuki, Rei, and Miri, from Miri leaping up and down on Rei’s tummy in excitement to Kazuki throwing Miri into the toilet without any ceremony. While viewers may watch Kazuki and Rei in their environment, evading projectiles and shattered glass and battling people, they can also see a gentler side to them, as shown when Miri can be seen comforting Rei after Kazuki yells “Gambatte!” to her during her school’s sports day. Prior to the release, Buddy Daddies teased viewers by releasing character previews, beginning with Kazuki’s funny advertisement.

Ayase, a member of the pop duet YOASOBI, became well-known with the publication of his song “Last Resort.” For Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, YOASOBI released the opening “Shukufuku,” for which he composed and authored the lyrics. The IDOLiSH7 Third Beat opening theme song was also created and orchestrated by him. Buddy Daddies will be the first anime performance in which DURDN’s trio will take part.

Yoshiyuki Asai, a P.A. director Buddy Daddies is a video game that has a narrative written by Nitroplus’ Vio Shimokura and music created by Katsutoshi Kitagawa. It centres around two assassin best friends named Kazuki and Rei, whose personalities could not be more unlike. As a criminal contractor/coordinator, Kazuki is portrayed by Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Bungo Stray Dogs, Yuri!!! on Ice), whereas Rei is played by Koki Uchiyama (Bibliophile Princess, Haikyuu! ), who likes to lose himself in video games. One day, when Miri, voiced by Hina Kino (Ayakashi Triangle and Devil Is a Part-Timer!! ), enters their life, their lives are upended.

Buddy Daddies’ cute new family will make their online premiere on Crunchyroll on January 6.
