BOCCHI THE ROCK! TV Anime Closes Out the Show
Over the course of twelve magnificent episodes this season, BOCCHI THE ROCK! wowed viewers with its outrageous visual humour and inspirational talent from the closet to the sparkling stage. The series’ official accounts posted a thank-you image celebrating Sunday’s conclusion and a primary trailer summarising Kessoku Band’s voyage in order to end the programme on a high note.
At the CloverWorks animation studio, BOCCHI THE ROCK!, based on the Aki Hamaji manga, is directed by Keiichiro Saito (Sonny Boy key animator) and assistant-directed by Yusuke Yamamoto (WONDER EGG PRIORITY key animator). Erika Yoshida (Tower of God) composed the series, Kerorira (WONDER EGG PRIORITY animation director) created the characters, and Tomoki Ki (BLEND-S). BOCCHI THE ROCK! Hitori Gotoh, or “Bocchi-chan,” is a quiet, withdrawn young woman who constantly begins talks with “Ah…”
She began playing the guitar in middle school and wanted to join a band because she believed it would be a chance for someone as timid as her to shine. However, she ended up spending every day for six hours by herself learning guitar since she had no friends.
She practised playing the guitar and eventually became a proficient musician. She posted videos of herself playing the guitar online under the alias. “Guitar Hero” and daydreamed about playing in her school’s cultural festival show. Not only was she unable to form a band, but before she realised it. She was a senior in high school and still had no friends.
She was on the verge of becoming a recluse until Kessoku Band drummer Nijika Ijichi got in touch with her one day. And as a result, she saw gradual changes in her daily life…
