Aoi Yuki, Ayahi Takagaki, Shigeru Chiba Join Urusei Yatsura Reboot Anime

Three new voice actors for the Urusei Yatsura TV anime reboot were revealed during the New Year’s special programme. Aoi Yuki (Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica) will play Ten, Lum’s young cousin; Ayahi Takagaki (Lisbeth in Sword Art Online) will play Ryunosuke Fujinami, a female student who was raised as a boy; and Shigeru Chiba (Yoshihir Chiba portrayed Megane, one of the major characters in the original series, with Toshio Furukawa and Fumi Hirano.

A fresh PV for the upcoming second cour has also begun streaming on the anime’s official website. I Wanna Muchu feat. Asmi, Threee is the opening theme for the second cour produced by MAISONdes, who also worked on the previous cour’s “AIUE ft. Minami and SAKURAmoti.” The next 12th episode, which will show on January 5th, will feature the new closing tune that they also created.
